The children arrived bright and breezy this morning, ready for their exciting day ahead.
After being shown around the grounds and a quick drink we started our first activity - orienteering. Well done to all of the teams, especially Mia, Reia and Niamh who completed the course first.
Once we had finished our lunch (a yummy BBQ!) we split into our two classes.
6TA had a great afternoon building dens (which were waterproof tested!), making fire and toasting marshmallows. Take a look at the photos below to see how we did.
6KB meanwhile took a wet walk up a local stream with challenges along the way, including a shower and making human dams. See the photos below!
For tea we had chicken, chips, peas and sweetcorn followed by cherry crumble (yum!).
Evening entertainment today involved tearing round on go-karts and making a protective casing for an egg on its flight out of an upper level window. Unfortunately, none of the eggs survived!
The children are all now in bed, lets hope they get a good night's sleep ready for the morning!
UPDATE - Take a look on RJS TV at the bottom of the children's page on the website for a video of the dens being tested. Can you recognise your child's squeal?!
