Admissions

Admission Arrangements

We admit pupils into our classes in September or throughout the school year if transferring from another school/moved into the area.

Schools cannot offer you a place even if you live nearby, an application must be made through Derbyshire County Council.

If you would like to apply for a place at our school:

  •  In the first instance I would warmly welcome you to come and look around with your child, to see if our setting meets the needs of your child. Please contact our school office on 01773 742281 to arrange a visit.
  • If you would like to apply for a place please apply to the admissions department at Derbyshire County Council. Please ring 01629 537499 for any support or information regarding the process of an application.
  • To apply on line and to read a guide for parents visit www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions

Sometimes applications are unsuccessful. This can be because the school has reached its capacity for number of pupils allowed. Our current Pupil Admission Number into any year group is 90.

If your application is unsuccessful, you are given the right to appeal. Appeals may or may not be successful depending on the current movement of pupils within school, e.g. if someone else has left, or if there are special circumstances. Please see the admissions parent guide on the website www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions

For more information about our school please see our current prospectus.
