Wider Opportunities:

Each year our very lucky year 4s have a slightly different music curriculum. Each class spends the whole academic year learning to play an instrument. Last year it was the ukulele and this year it is the violin/viola. Each Friday, they have a class lesson and then have the opportunity to take the instruments home to practise over the week if they choose.

Not only do they learn how to play the instrument but they learn about pitch, tempo, beats, musicality, dynamics and teamwork.

They finish the year off with a concert to the rest of the school and to family and friends.

We also currently offer private music tuition for the following instruments:

We are also investigating singing lessons.

• Chances to perform on stage (Harvest performances, Christmas show, Easter faith show (24/25), End of year show, Eurovision class assemblies)
• Music Technology Club and Band
• Performances from music teachers and children that play instruments
