Homework Club

We offer a homework club for lower school/upper school once a week at lunchtime.

It is the perfect opportunity to get extra support and help with homework if needed, or a quiet place to study and improve your learning.

If you would like to go, just sign up on the noticeboard outside the library.

RE Club

Amber Valley CIDs  host a weekly RE club during lunchtime.

Children are invited to explore different stories from the Bible, creating artwork, writing and display work based on what they learn. Often, these weekly sessions feed into their whole school assembles and lessons, which each year group partakes in on a termly cycle.

If you are interested, please ask your class teacher for more information!

After School Sports Club

The Amber Valley School Sports Partnership run an after school sports club on Mondays.

Run by a qualified, trained sports coach, the children are taught different skills and activities, based upon the units taught in school and the cluster competition calendar.

The clubs run on a termly cycle, and are often offered to Year Groups at different times of the year to ensure as many children can take part as possible.

Places are limited and children are invited on a first come, first served basis.

Half Termly Clubs

Each half term, we offer a variety of clubs which children are encouraged to sign up to. Some of our clubs take part during lunch - children are encouraged to go straight for lunch and to then attend club. Other clubs run after school - usually 3.30 - 4.15. Letters come home at the start of each big term and children sign up on a first come, first served basis.

Some examples of clubs we have offered to date are:

  • Outdoor Adventure Club
  • Spy Club
  • Drama Club
  • Reading Club
  • French and German
  • Computing Club
  • Coding Club
  • Badminton
  • Athletics

Should you have any other clubs that you think would be of benefit to our children, please let us know!
